Check finish consistency and room use
Assess where sunlight, heat and traffic interact. If one area always behaves differently, treat it as a separate section during review rather than forcing one finish plan across the full room.
Confirm substrate readiness
A reseal schedule depends on stable conditions and clear visual signals from previous coats. If the wood still appears damp or uneven in feel, pause and review conditions before sealing. Rework usually costs more than waiting one cycle.
Use a test strip before full run
Apply a small test strip to a section you will later use regularly. If it performs consistently with the room plan, proceed; if not, adjust dwell times and ventilation before finishing the full area.
Document the decision
A short log with date, weather window and selected test result keeps future follow-up simple and gives confidence to everyone involved.
